We arrived in Gandia on the 6th of Oct via Tarragona by bus.We had a great trip from Tarragona and seem to prefer bus to rail however we have only traveled on the local trains so far. Our hosts from the Bed and Breakfast Spain we are staying at in Gandia are about 7 km out in a rural setting in the foothills away from the coast and they came in and picked us up from the bus station. We have stayed with Nigel and Mark for 4 nights and have had a great time hiking in the local hills close to there place. We even were transported to the base of the trails on two occasions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Florencia, the meals Mark cooked up and the hiking lunches were extraordinar.
We hiked till about 3pm from 10 and then returned home to enjoy wine and beers by the pool before dinner. We even had the opportunity to be guests at a gathering of close friends of Nigel and Marks for one evening and had a great time talking about Canada as they had visited and recanted there experiences with us, it was a great evening. Mark has built this blog for us and tutored us in the use of same for which we are very grateful, he is a wiss at computers and even showed us how to minimize our pictures so we can send them easier on the internet. We were sad to leave but off to La Romana and new country. See next post
