We came into Lisboa across a bridge that is the same design as San Francisco and drove directly to our hotel as was described in Booking.com, when we went to check in we were told we were at the wrong hotel. Lucky the right one was a sister hotel just around the corner. Its called the Lisboa Fenix Garden and its the best hotel yet not including B&B’s. Comfy beds and large pillows a great place to end our trip. We then drove out to Sintra but ended up in Cascais the most western point of Europe. The freeways were just too fast and busy so we had lunch and got the car back to Budget at the airport no damage and even did a clean inside and out before we got there. Glad to have Debs eyes as a navigator as she caught some signage I missed. We took the bus back to the hotel and wandered downtown for supper. We are quite impressed with Lisbon Sunday/Monday were beautiful sunny and warm so we walked all around Monday, the locals thought we were crazy walking around in our shorts and tee shirts. Tuesday got a hop on hop off bus ticket for two days 30 euros total for both of us as its raining today and forecast not much better tomorrow. Oh well we got to see lots more than we would have otherwise.  Neil says Deb is getting too good at crib so it must be time to go home!!

We left Beja for Evora with a side trip to Alvito but 10 km’s from that town the bridge was being worked on so we just headed on back and went to Evora. It was a cool day with intermittent clouds but while it was sunny it was quite nice. We got lost in old town with the car going up and down narrow streets even drove down a pedestrian walk way. Oh well we finally found the hotel so we got settled in and parked the car. We wandered around old town for a while then went home to the Hotel for a bath to warm up before supper. We ended  up back in the heart of old town for supper as things tend to close at random times during Sunday’s. Had a great day despite and enjoyed the country side during our drive.
