Wel we have finished our journey and have arrived home safe and sound leaving Lisbon on Nov 10 flying to London Heathrow then transferring for a direct flight to Vancouver and off to Prince George all on the same day!! We are getting over jet lag and looking forward to getting back into a routine and of course ready to get back to work. We have enjoyed our travels and the people we have met along the way. We look forward to the winter and keeping in touch with friends met along the way. We will not be using the blog until next trip so will let you know when that will be all the best from the Traveling Hendersons

We came into Lisboa across a bridge that is the same design as San Francisco and drove directly to our hotel as was described in Booking.com, when we went to check in we were told we were at the wrong hotel. Lucky the right one was a sister hotel just around the corner. Its called the Lisboa Fenix Garden and its the best hotel yet not including B&B’s. Comfy beds and large pillows a great place to end our trip. We then drove out to Sintra but ended up in Cascais the most western point of Europe. The freeways were just too fast and busy so we had lunch and got the car back to Budget at the airport no damage and even did a clean inside and out before we got there. Glad to have Debs eyes as a navigator as she caught some signage I missed. We took the bus back to the hotel and wandered downtown for supper. We are quite impressed with Lisbon Sunday/Monday were beautiful sunny and warm so we walked all around Monday, the locals thought we were crazy walking around in our shorts and tee shirts. Tuesday got a hop on hop off bus ticket for two days 30 euros total for both of us as its raining today and forecast not much better tomorrow. Oh well we got to see lots more than we would have otherwise.  Neil says Deb is getting too good at crib so it must be time to go home!!
